A poem that has been used in countless high school graduation speeches and as a metaphor for any situation in which a person must make an important decision. The simple themes have always appealed to Frost"s readers and seems to speak to people more than a Shakespeare or Poe.
Frost attended from 1897 to 1899, but he left voluntarily due to illness. Shortly before his death, Frost's grandfather purchased for Robert and Elinor in ; Frost worked the farm for nine years while writing early in the mornings and producing many of the poems that would later become famous.
